After the successful introduction of the VLT-pro, our electro-hydraulic operated examination table, it was clear that there was also a demand for a lower-priced version of our veterinary examination table. The operating method was the greatest obstacle. We wanted to lower the price of our table by replacing the relatively expensive electro-hydraulic system with a lower priced electric system. For sometime we were unable to locate an electrical system that approached the performance level of our electro-hydraulic system.
However, a powerful actuator came on to the market in 2006, and made it possible for us to develop a performance level comparable to that of our electro-hydraulic system. The VLT-basis is fitted with this electric system. The VLT-basis table top takes only 16 seconds to rise from the lowest position to the highest and vice-versa. That is a couple of seconds longer than the VLT-pro, but the VLT-basis is still one of the fastest lifting examination tables. With a step up of only 18.5 cm, it is almost unequalled by any other examination table.
The composition of the VLT-basis is identical to that of the VLT-pro: made out of stainless steel with bronze bearings. This makes the table not only attractive, but also ensures a long durability. The adjustable leg allows the table to be stabilised on any surface, and due to its low weight does not need to be in a fixed position.
Safety of man and animal is guaranteed with a VTL-basis veterinary examination table. Our examination table is designed in such a way that the scissor-like legs are fitted at a safe distance from each other. All of our examination tables are fitted with an emergency stop button. To keep the cost of the VLT-basis as low as possible, unlike with the VLT-pro, the VLT-basis is not fitted with a safety control panel.
The VLT-basis is practical and easy to use. The ergonomically fitted foot pedals allow for easy raising and lowering of the table top. As the electric unit is fitted underneath the table top, it is protected from becoming dirty and is therefore not in the way when cleaning. Above all, due to the light weight of the table it is easy to move, allowing for thorough floor cleaning. Another important feature of the VLT-basis is the �plug and play� principle: installation takes only 10 minutes. Once it is installed minimum maintenance is required, allowing years of problem free use. J-Tools the manufacturer, provides a one year parts and operation guarantee on the VLT-basis. This guarantee can be extended to three years if required.
